To encourage and surround ourselves with the culture of making lasting friendships while accepting one's differences (Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation), raising the level of one's games while developing the discipline that goes with it by working hard while having fun being a student-athlete, and gaining mutual respect for each other's differences and the commitment to the WE - Ohana.
Inclusion is not a strategy to help players fit into teams. It is about transforming players to make it better for the team.
Inclusion is about creating a better team for every player.
In diversity there is beauty and there is strength. Strength lies in differences not similarities.
NW Power Ohana creates the culture of the family and the power behind our differences and love for each other.
1. Coaches coach with a great understanding of the sport and do so in a positive and respectful manner.
2. Parents need to be the best spectators and cheerleaders they can be and be supportive of ALL team members, and they practice and promote the concept of TEAM FIRST. “Putting the WE before the ME”
3. Players put their energy and trust in the team, their teammates, and the decisions made by the coaches and the club.
4. OHANA is the TOP goal for our players, coaches and all family members. Family comes first above all else. Once you make a team YOU become POWER OHANA.
5. Players are developed to achieve the highest level THEY dream of and want to reach at the next level: AKA- Varsity, Varsity Starter, All League, League MVP, college scholarships, a member of a collegiate team…
